Chalumna Project Completed

The Chalumna Sanitation Project was completed at the beginning of June 2010.

The project closing function was attended by the Sanitation Steering Committee, and the builders from the community, the Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Water and Sanitation, the project manager, the manager of technical services and other dignitaries from Buffalo City Municipality, the representatives of the Department of Water Affairs, Representatives of Department of Human Settlements and other government departments.

The project was completed within the original time frame of 5 years, having started in June 2005.

The project was hailed as a success by all who were present and the community expressed appreciation for the way the project was implemented and the skill that were imparted into the community.
